In collaboration with other local groups, we have organized teach-ins in New Haven and Hartford about the weapons manufacturing industry in Connecticut and one of its biggest players: Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of RTX (Raytheon) that manufactures jet engines.

The teach-in presented the history of the local industry, the environmental and human impact of the parts made here, the workforce development and ties to education and nonprofits of these companies, and the economics of this industry in our state.
