Join the Yale Feminist and Postcolonial Science and Technology Studies (fSTS) collective and the New Haven chapter of Science for the People as we help launch the most recent issue of the Science for the People magazine, titled “Beyond Binaries.” The issue focuses on the intersection of gender and science in society, both in the way that science can exploit and weaponize gender, but also advance the concept of gender beyond binaries. We will discuss the following three articles from the issue:
Eugenics is back – in a Range of New Flavors
The Epistemological Politics of Gender: The Neurosexist’s Guide to Weaponized Incompetence
